For being a strong advocate for the blind and other disabled citizens and for his hard work in getting the West High Avenue sidewalk across the railroad tracks. With City Council's approval, installation will be a benefit for many.

John was selected because he directs numerous special projects at the Bridgeport Manor where he resides in Belmont County.

He has been instrumental in getting a peer support group started in St.Clairsville. He is a person who cares deeply about others and has a willingness to put others before himself.
